At a time when unprecedented supply chain disruption was forcing many QSRs out of business, we engineered a solution that gave our customer clear visibility over the regional impact of the shipping crisis, helping it to avoid stock-outs more efficiently, deploy contingencies more rapidly – and protect its business.
As a result of severe supply chain disruption, our customer was facing uncertainty around demand and incoming freight. To complicate the situation, customer teams had no access to data that combined demand, on-hand inventory and inbound freight. In addition, they had a limited understanding of the regional situation and where to deploy contingencies.
Ultimately, the client needed a trusted partner capable of providing clear visibility over its logistics and freight movements so that it could manage the regional impact of the shipping crisis, avoid stock-outs and protect its business.
We implemented a solution that gave our customer full visibility over all critical milestones during freight movements. By connecting market demand with DC inventory data and freight data, it also enabled our customer to forecast inventory trends while highlighting stock-out risks. What’s more, we also gave customer teams access to daily shipment tracking showing updated carrier ETAs and adjusted ETAs based on historical analysis.
Sustaining assured supply while fulfilling capacity more efficiently thanks to a detailed understanding of the regional inventory position.
Locating supply chain breakdown points more accurately while executing contingencies more quickly.
Recognizing and deploying best practices to other markets/suppliers.
While many other QSRs were forced to close, the customer recognized our instrumental role in enabling it to maintain its sales despite formidable supply chain challenges.
