Meet Joseph Reodava, a Forklift Operator based in the Philippines, who celebrated his 25th anniversary at HAVI in April 2024. Joseph hails from Kalibo, Aklan, nestled in the Western Visayas, a cluster of breathtaking Philippine islands just south of Luzon. “My upbringing was humble yet fulfilling,” Joseph recalls, “As the sixth child among ten siblings, I often assisted my father, a fisherman, in selling our daily catch after school, while my mother managed our household and a small business venture.“
Joseph began his career at HAVI in 1999 as a messenger/collector, delivering supplies and supporting the administrative department. Through hard work, enthusiasm, and further training, Joseph grew more confident, competent, and motivated to build his career at HAVI.
In 2005, Joseph transferred to Operations as an order selector, preparing McDonald’s orders. “I was proud to be honored as 2008’s Best Order Selector for my dedication to our success,” Joseph shares. After additional training, he was promoted to Forklift Operator in 2010, a position he still holds today. “My job is fun – yet it’s a lot of hard work!” he says. “I’m responsible for the safe and efficient locating, moving, and storing of inbound and outbound stock at DC Plaridel.“
