The new 29,500 m² centre unifies the Daganzo and Alovera operations and will be fully operational in February 2026.
Within the total investment made in the new logistics centre, a significant part has been allocated to automation alone, which will increase productivity by 15% and strengthen the service to the restaurant sector.
Madrid, 19 January 2026. HAVI, a leading provider of logistics solutions for the restaurant industry, has launched its new logistics centre in San Fernando de Henares (Madrid). This new facility, fully operational since December, is a strategic milestone for the company, as it centralises in a single location the operations that until now were carried out at the Daganzo and Alovera DCs. The closure of both centres will be carried out progressively as the transfer of stock and customers progresses, scheduled until the end of February 2026.
From the center of San Fernando, more than 400 delivery points of 15 different customers will be served.
The new centre is firmly committed to the automation of its operations, allocating a very significant part of the investment to this technology. It has a surface area of 29,500 m², almost double the sum of the two previous centres. It has 30 loading and unloading docks and a storage capacity of 22,300 pallets, from where frozen, refrigerated and dry products will be managed, mainly for the food service sector. In its initial phase and at full capacity, it is estimated that the center will employ around 300 people, including professionals from HAVI Spain and STI, as well as members of the Spanish headquarters with responsibilities at the global corporate level.
The automation of storage in the three temperature areas, together with advanced route optimization tools, reinforce the efficiency and reliability of the service. In the coming months, the new warehouse management system (WMS), INFOR, will be launched, which will further increase its operational efficiency.
Commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency
Sustainability has been a key axis in the design and commissioning of the new logistics centre in San Fernando de Henares. The facility has solar panels with a power of 1GW, a high-efficiency transcritical ammonia cooling system and 100% LED lighting in all its areas. In addition, a Building Management System (BMS) has been incorporated that allows intelligent and optimized management of energy consumption.
The centre also has infrastructure for the recharging of electric vehicles, already operational for cars and in the deployment phase for trucks. Despite doubling the surface area of the previous centres, global energy consumption is expected to be similar to that of the Daganzo and Alovera facilities combined.
From this new headquarters, HAVI will continue to operate as a reference logistics centre for HAVI Spain, covering customers throughout the national territory. The centre also houses management teams from the Iberian sector, the Southern European cluster and the HAVI Global Leadership Team (GLT). Its strategic location, closer to Madrid, will reduce distribution kilometres, take advantage of operational synergies and reinforce the objectives of growth, competitiveness and excellence in customer service.
