We’re proud to announce that HAVI Logistics Kft. has successfully completed its relocation to a new state-of-the-art Distribution Center in Alsónémedi, strengthening our operational presence in Hungary. Around 150 colleagues now work together at the modern facility, delivering operational excellence for HAVI’s customers more efficiently than ever before.
Expanding Capacity for Future Growth
The new facility provides 18,000 square meters of warehouse space, including a 6,000 square meter expansion. Equivalent in size to approximately 32 tennis courts, the modern hub increases our capacity by around seven percent. This expansion enables us to serve existing customers more effectively while allowing us to welcome new clients, supporting long-term growth in the region.
Sustainability at the Heart of Operations
Sustainability and energy efficiency were key priorities throughout the development of the new Distribution Center. The facility has achieved BREEAM “Excellent” certification, reflecting high environmental performance standards.
Heating is partially supported by industrial waste-heat recovery, which repurposes excess thermal energy. Cooling processes use a closed-loop water recirculation system designed to reduce water consumption and energy use. These innovations demonstrate how environmental responsibility is embedded into daily operations.
The Distribution Center is also equipped with fully separated multi-temperature storage zones to support a diverse product portfolio. Ambient storage operates between +5°C and +25°C, tempered storage ranges from +1°C to +8°C, chilled storage maintains temperatures between +1°C and +3°C, and frozen storage operates between -23°C and -20°C.
This multi-temperature capability ensures operational flexibility while maintaining the highest standards of product integrity and food safety across the supply chain.

The relocation was completed without any interruption to customer service, reflecting careful planning and strong cross-functional collaboration across the organization. Throughout the transition, service levels remained fully stable, ensuring continuity and reliability for customers and partners. This successful move demonstrates HAVI Hungary’s strong operational discipline and commitment to maintaining high performance even during complex transitions.
