HAVI Poland Steps Up To Support Customers’ Growth Ambitions With New Warsaw Warehouse

In Poland, HAVI has responded to strong growth in the country’s economy by opening a new 5,700m2 distribution center (DC) in Warsaw. The modern, purpose-designed facility will ensure the business has the capacity to help existing customers realize their growth ambitions while bringing new customers onboard.

Construction work started on the Warsaw DC in April 2018. It incorporates 1,200m2 of freezer space and 380m2 of cold storage with refrigeration infrastructure, which will significantly cut electricity consumption. The enlarged warehouse can store 4,700 additional pallets and it has an extra 12 ramps. As a result, HAVI now is able to handle 500 additional deliveries every month.

The Warsaw DC also incorporates 700m2 of modern office space. With the emphasis on simplicity and functionality, the interiors were designed to provide employees with a user-friendly working environment. It is worth noting that the office is fully adapted to the needs of people with disabilities.

Senior HAVI managers were joined at the opening ceremony by customers, partners and HAVI employees. Guests were given a guided tour of the new facility and the chance to enjoy a video of the 14-month construction phase.

Commenting on this milestone, Dorota Erazmus, VP, Cluster Central Europe, HAVI, says: “Bringing our new DC onstream was the result of a successful collaboration between our employees, customers, contractors, consultants and the project managers. The Polish economy is enjoying strong growth at present, so demand for our distribution and storage services is also rising. This new facility means we are now in an even stronger position to help our customers handle the challenges of growth as they convert their expansion plans into results.”
